Feeling

Grasshopper Philosophy teaches that simply recognizing something rationally is distinct from truly understanding it.

Individuals must embrace their emotions and allow them to lead them towards a deeper understanding of The Life Problem, and their connection with themselves and their environment.

"The core of Grasshopper Methodology's Feeling Strategy is practicing presence."

Fundamental aspects of the Feeling Strategy include:

  1. Empowering ourselves through deeply experiencing emotions

  2. Feeling others, the world, our connections, our sense of belonging

  3. Embracing how problems and discomfort make us feel

  4. Recognizing that every emotion serves a purpose

  5. Learning why we prefer some emotions, and not others

  6. Acquiring skills to manage our emotions

  7. Cultivating self-love

  8. Embracing the past, relishing the present, and anticipating the future

  9. Being at ease with our emotional nature
