Mentors

Mentors are individuals with experience in addiction recovery who assist newcomers and lead Open Meetings.

They are not trained volunteers and do not hold an official Grasshopper role. Instead, they are invited to ceremoniously wear the Mentor badge.

"While Grasshopper has no specific beliefs or approaches that its Mentors must adhere to, we request that any particular dogma relevant to other recovery approaches be reserved for those programs rather than at Grasshopper meetings."

Graduating to a Mentor signifies that a Grasshopper Coach recognizes a substantial commitment to your recovery and views you as an exemplar within our community.

These individuals can be selected to become Grasshopper Coaches.
