  1. Grasshopper Philosophy
  2. Misconceptions

"Addiction is weakness"

It is an incredibly outdated and uncompassionate way to view addiction as weakness.

The mind of any individual is very complex to assess, and from the outside without proper therapeutic procedures, it can only be superficially uncovered.

"Grasshopper Philosophy believes that different people face different problems in life, and addiction is just one of those."

Rather than diminishing the value and personality of others, Grasshopper Recovery has firsthand seen empirical evidence of countless different cases that show no correlation with whether it remotely makes societal sense to categorize someone with addiction problems as weak.

"Grasshopper Philosophy believes the only weakness we see is addiction itself when it is beat down by the individual it once belittled, but never they themselves."
