Grasshoppers
Grasshopper is a light-hearted way of referring to a newcomer in the Grasshopper program.
Rooted in Grasshopper Philosophy is the sentiment that helping others is one of the most important things we can do in building back our self-esteem is connection and belonging.
Wherever a newcomer once was, participants in the program were too, and can relate to how lost, difficult, or excited they feel to be part of a new group.
"In traditional treatment programs, there is a saying that the newcomer is the most important one in and for the whole group."
