  1. Grasshopper Philosophy
  2. Misconceptions

"Addiction is one size"

Grasshopper Philosophy stresses the need for tailored recovery for each individual, which often can only be discovered through the individual's guided self-discovery of possibilities.

While Grasshopper Philosophy strongly recommends people to work with existing guidelines and frameworks, it also recognizes that there is a difference between individuals who need autonomy versus a strict regime.

Grasshopper is built around not defining one way for recovery, but rather creating structures that work for different people.

"The individual needs to take matters into their own hands to a certain degree, in whatever way works for them, either by strictly following a program or creating a version of their own. Grasshopper was born to give each possibility and everything in between."

Grasshopper Recovery is actively researching how to define and pre-categorize what works for people depending on specific characteristics such as personality.
